About Liberty Park
Liberty Park Community Development Center is an Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP). Our preschool program serves low-income families and their children. In addition to providing curriculum-based activities for children, we offer a meal and snack, outdoor play time and art projects. These activities and family support are necessary for children to be ready for kindergarten. Our program promotes development in areas such as cognitive development, literacy, math, social-emotional development, physical and language development.
The ECEAP program is aligned with nationally researched programs that have shown exceptional returns on investment. ECEAP is effective at:
Increasing children’s social-emotional, physical and pre-academic skills.
Helping families move toward self-sufficiency and build their capacity to support their children’s success.
Ensuring that each child receives medical and dental care to start school healthy.
We are a part-day program. Our class schedule is from Monday -Thursday at 8:30am and 12:15pm.
Children who attend ECEAP learn to manage their feelings, get along with others and follow classroom procedures. They build the beginning skills for reading, math and science. We work closely with parents to support their children’s health and education and to meet family goals. We help families access medical and dental care and social services.
ECEAP children must be 3 years old but not yet 5 years old on August 31st of the school year, and:
- On Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for special education or,
- From families at or below 110 percent of the federal poverty level, which includes all children in foster care and all families with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cash grants. Some children may be accepted who are over the income limit, if they have developmental or environmental factors.
